SWAN Catalog Down Next Week

The SWAN Catalog will be down from 7PM on Monday, February 25 through Tuesday, February 26. The online catalog will not be functional during this period. You can still check out books, but our staff is going to be using a backup system. We will not be able to check books in, review account information, or issue/renew library cards. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If You See "Ready for Pickup" . . . .

If you have requested library materials, you may now see the message "READY FOR PICKUP" in the SWAN catalog. This means that the materials will be ready for you on Monday, February 25th. Library "elves" are still very busy preparing the library, and we will not be open until then. We apologize for the delay.

In the Process of Moving

The library is closed right now while we are in the process of moving. The following libraries will assist Alsip-Merrionette Park Library patrons during the move: Oak Lawn, Blue Island, Palos Heights, Chicago Ridge, and Midlothian. Blue Island and Palos Heights offer free Internet access to all suburban library card holders.

All Alsip-Merrionette Park Library items are now due on March 11th, including items that previously showed a due date of February 4th. (Items requested from and owned by other libraries are due on the date shown on the receipt or tag, and must be returned to a suburban library by that date.) Check your account on SWAN to verify due dates: http://www.swan.mls.lib.il.us

Express Pickup service has been temporarily suspended during the move and transition.

Online holds cannot be placed until the library reopens on February 25th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Pictures of the move will be posted soon!
